Zoë Irons is a ceramic artist living and working in London. Born on Lantau Island in Hong Kong and raised on the Isle of Wight, her work is shaped by a deep connection to island landscapes and the sea. Drawing on eroded rock formations, marine organisms and organic coastal remnants, she creates peaceful, sometimes creature-like forms that echo the natural world without directly replicating it.
After developing a chronic health condition that changed the direction of her creative practice, Zoë found ceramics as a way to reconnect with making through a slower, more tactile process. Working intuitively with clay, she allows the material to guide the outcome, creating sculptures and vessels that feel both familiar and slightly otherworldly. Often described as holding a quiet sense of personality, her pieces appear as fragments - forms that carry a subtle, living energy.
